Week 4 - First week back

As last week was my first week back at uni, I felt as though I had missed a lot on this class. The lecture and the advice that was given by Luke were great. It helped me understand what the criteria are for the Etoy.
I think that I will be fine, but will I finish it on time?

Week 5

As you already know I have missed 3 weeks of uni due to some family commitments, but today I felt as though I was learning a lot. Sophia taught me a lot! I now understand how to make my Etoy, I feel confident in making it but I also feel that I will struggle with the actions. I understand everything to do with making and naming the objects but I have no idea with what you are meant to write on the actions box.
Even though I am struggling with the actions I think that the outcome with be o.k. The readings that have been put on the internet are great.

Week 3 - Net Neutrality

I am so shocked that we are actually having problems with keeping our net neutrality. Having to have petitions to keep our internet safe is just unthinkable. Everyone should have the same speed and quality as everyone else. No-one should be aloud to go into the "pipes" and change them to the way they want to.

If they were to change this, there would be a lot of problems with the community. Not everyone would be able to have the internet as it would probably be too expensive.
I never knew what net neutrality was until now, and by reading these problems it makes me wonder what the future holds.

Week 1 - The GigOm Show

This was very interesting to watch. I was so amazed how many video and compter games were sold last year and how it was 28% more than 2006.
Joshua Hong has also got a great point about how people would rather play free games than having to pay to play. I was also shocked that he only uses 1% of the gross on Advertising.
The main thing that i learnt in this show was that there are also a lot of females who play video games, 58% are males and 42% are female. Huge surprise!!

week two - character design

From watching the character design it has helped me a lot on understanding the reasoning’s behind why characters are drawn the way they are.
The process was a great explanation on how to get your characters, and depending when your story is set it will depend on what the character will look like. By sketching an image, it will then help you to see what the character is missing and what they are trying to represent, an image says 1000 words.
I think that the modeling sheet is very useful. When you are trying to draw a character flipped it helps you a lot, being able to draw all the details in without forgetting anything.
