This week i have been trying to finish my website, and successfully i have. I have made my website on most of my art pieces that i have produced in the past two years. i have made 6 pages; Home, Life drawing, Painting and drawing, Photography and printing, Animations and Games. With all the pages i have put annotations of all my art work except for my life drawing i didn't. I thought that it was quiet obvious of how i did these pieces.
I found making the website really interesting and fun. There was only one little thing that i struggled to do, and that was changing the background colour in the columns of where the links and my header were. After long hard searching i had come to realise that as i had used a template from dreamweaver it wasn't as easy to change the background colour as it when u construct your own template from scratch.
I had to go to the CSS column (on the right on the program) and find each individual column/name that i wanted to change the colour.
Overall, i really enjoyed making this website. It was really time consuming but i loved it, and i hope you do to.
Thanks for your constant support Stuart. You were a great help.

Week 11

With my publication i have decided to make a book of my trip to europe last year. i have decided just to leave it white as my background colour as i think that there would be too much colour if i had another colour as well as the images. Depending on the places that i went to, will depend on how many pictures i will have. As we went to each island for only a few days there wont be that many pictures, 10 to the most! Overall, i am very happy with my end product. I would have love to print it... maybe sometime in the future. This is one of the pages off my booklet.
Week 10
This week we didn't have class but i stayed home and i started making my website on my artwork. i have produced my 5 pages and linked all all the pages together. Now i just have to put all my images of my art work onto the website and put some colour onto it. over all i am happy with what i have made. i have used the the 2 column hybrid, left sidebar head and footer. this is so i can have my links on the left hand side of my webpage and my images in the centre. Hopefully it will turn out and i want it to.

Week 9

Today in class i continued to make my book. My book that i will be making with be about my trip to Europe that i went to last year. There are going to be 6 different chapters. The different types of chapters that i will have will be Cyprus, Thessaloniki, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Create and then Cyprus again. Each of these chapters will have photos of where i was and there will be text on the side of each image saying where we were. I think this will be a great end product, it will be my own digital photo album. This is one of the images in my Album/Book.

Week 8

In todays class we talked how important it is to have the right sized image on our website. Stuart told us that the maximum size of the image should be no larger than 50KB for a jpeg image and 72 D.P.I. When we attach an image to our websites they sound be saved as a jpeg. This helps the size of the image to stay small. For us to resize the image we have to use photoshop; file -> save for web and device. Then in this tool you change the type of the image that it is saved and the quality. This will reduce the size of the image. After our lecture with Stuart we stated working on both our websites and our publication. i mostly worked with my publication as i have forgotten most of the things that Stuart taught us is the first couple of weeks and wanted to refesh my memory. After a couple of questions i remembered how to do the main things for my book. I am so excited to finish it and see the end product.

Week 7 - Building a 3 page Website

Today was an interesting day. We were given a sample website with two pages and we were to put in information to do with some sort of recipes. i thought that this was really interesting as it put all my skills to the test and it showed me what i need to work on. This is what i have come up with i think i did quite well as i was feeling sick this morning and came a hour late also.

Week 6 - building and understanding a Website

Today Stuart told us the difference between the two different websites that can be made, linear website and a nodal website.
A Linear website can only go in one direction from going from page (link) to page and it will never change. As for the nodal it can go in any direction, there as no restrictions of where to go.
Even though i have tried to make other websites in other classes before i think that Stuart made it much easier to understand how to construct a website.
The new dreamwever though, i believe, has become a little bit more complicated when it comes to changing the colour of the font on the Website.
Overall, this lesson was really helpful as it will also help me for other classes.
Here is my page that i made today...
